A Member, also known as a recruit, is the beginning rank for every player that joins a guild. A member has no powers in a guild, and must get promoted to gain access to more guild functions.
Only the Guildmaster, otherwise known as the GM, has the power to promote normal members to veterans and then veterans to officers.
